Acoustic Solo Wedding Package Hobart & Tasmania
I provide a Solo Acoustic Wedding Package for couples who want live music during their ceremony, cocktail hour, canapes or reception. Based in Lower Longley, I perform across Hobart, Launceston, and the East Coast. Whether you need an intimate ceremony performance or a full day of live music, I bring everything needed to provide clear, professional sound that matches the layout and size of your venue.
A Personal Approach to Your Music
I focus on the moments where live music actually counts. Weddings move fast. I’m there to catch the energy of every transition—from that first walk down the aisle to the buzz of your canapes. It’s about being present. I’ll play the intimate, stripped-back songs that make your ceremony feel like yours, then shift into an upbeat, percussive sound to get the drinks flowing.
My gear looks as good as it sounds. You’ve worked hard on the venue's styling, and my setup respects that. I use high-output PA systems that stay clear for over 300 guests, but I keep things neat and the cables hidden. You get professional sound that won’t mess with the decor.
Why Choose Tom Booth Music for Your Wedding?
Preparation & Planning -
I do much more than just show up and play. I take the time to learn your specific songs and offer site visits to make sure the technical side is handled well in advance. I don't leave things to chance. I arrive early for every booking to ensure I’m fully set up and sound-checked well before your first guest arrives.
Premium Audio Support -
You’ll get crystal-clear sound for your ceremony and canapes. I use professional wireless microphones for your speeches (and celebrant if required) and a high-end PA system that handles everything from intimate garden ceremonies to large guest lists of over 300. I also offer the option to record your ceremony music and speeches, giving you a high-quality audio keepsake of the day.
Reliability & Polished Aesthetics -
I choose my equipment for both its performance and its look. I maintain a neat, minimal setup that won't clutter your venue or distract from your decor. For absolute peace of mind, I carry backup equipment for every critical component and arrive early to make sure everything is sound-checked and ready.
Music Anywhere: Remote & Off-Grid Ready -
I utilise independent sound systems and high-end, battery-powered audio options. This lets me provide professional-grade sound for remote beach, forest, or wilderness ceremonies across Tasmania where traditional power isn't an option.
Playing at Tasmania’s Iconic Venues and Hidden Gems
Caledon Estate:
I’m a regular performer at this stunning, family-owned vineyard. The modern architecture and heritage sandstone walls provide an ideal backdrop for solo acoustic sets. I focus on moving smoothly from a ceremony by the wall to sunset canapes on the deck as your guests transition between spaces.
ValleyField – New Norfolk
ValleyField in New Norfolk is a heritage-listed site right on the Derwent River. I perform live acoustic music in the gardens for ceremonies while guests overlook the water. For canapes, I move the setup to the adjoining gravel courtyard to keep the atmosphere relaxed. The reception then moves inside the Coach House. I set up on the main floor rather than the mezzanine to stay better connected with the guests. The high ceilings and painted sandstone walls provide great natural acoustics for a solo set. It suits the historic feel of the property perfectly.
Peppermint Bay:
Peppermint Bay weddings usually start with guests arriving on the Peppermint Bay II catamaran from Hobart. I often play at this beautiful seaside venue . I use digital time-alignment and strategic speaker placement to handle the high ceilings and deep dining area. Every guest hears the music clearly from the first toast through the final dinner set.
Glen Albyn Estate:
Glen Albyn Estate has a sharp, modern look. I use ambient uplighting in the Pool Room to match that aesthetic through dinner service. I’ll usually start on the Riverview Deck. I play an acoustic set for your guest arrival, the ceremony, and canapes. Then I move inside. It’s a smooth transition that keeps the music consistent without distracting from the view
The East Coast | Remote Properties & Beachfront Airbnbs:
The East Coast has some of the most beautiful "off-grid" wedding spots in Australia. I travel to Bicheno and the Bay of Fires for ceremonies on remote beaches or private coastal properties. Because traditional power is often unavailable, I use high-end battery systems. You’ll have quality audio and wireless microphones for speeches, without generator noise. I keep my gear compact and tidy so the focus stays on the coastline.
A review from a solo acoustic wedding
Thank you so much Tom for travelling all the way down the Tasman Peninsula to play at our little 2025 wedding! It was wonderful to have a live musician, especially when it came to timing and flexibility/forgivingness during our ceremony - can’t thank him enough for that! Tom delivered a beautiful acoustic rendition of my aisle song to set the atmosphere for our ceremony, and then on to our reception. His voice has such a wonderfully warm, raw, and deeply emotive quality, and the man knows his way around a guitar. I've seen him play pub gigs before and he reads the room well, and as such he gauged the vibe of our reception and his set-list to suit (other than stipulating my aisle song, I said I trusted his judgement and he did not disappoint). He certainly left a wonderful impression on our guests too, many of them remarking to us later how much they enjoyed his performance. Tom was easy to communicate with, easy going, flexible, efficient and listened to what we were 'after' for our day. Unfortunately for us, Nikayla wasn't available on this occasion, but I know she's very talented on the keys, with such a beautiful voice, and a wonderful stage presence to-boot. Even if you're not after someone to serenade you/rock out with you for your wedding, I'd definitely recommend catching one of their local duo gigs, or hit them up to perform at your function/celebration! Definitely an excellent choice for your wedding though!
